Reformer Workout

Clinical Pilates is a form of exercise rehabilitation that combines Physiotherapy and Pilates in a clinical setting.
At Movement for Life Physiotherapy both your assessment and instruction will be carried out by a Registered Physiotherapist. Clinical Pilates has a strong emphasis on teaching you how to recruit and use your core stabilizing muscles, educating you about correct spinal posture as well as working on any specific muscles which are imbalanced.

Physio for dancers is an area of Physiotherapy that involves the prevention and treatment of dance related injuries. Lisa Mills-Hutton has a strong and varied background in dance to truly understand your needs as a dancer. Myofascial Release and Cranial Sacral Therapy are a hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to help eliminate pain and restore motion.

Physiotherapy for jaw dysfunction and pain may include manual therapy, exercise, myofascial release, acupuncture and education. Your therapist will work with your dentist and other health providers to optimize your jaw movement and minimize your pain.

At Movement for Life Physiotherapy, patients are given the resources they need to get their bodies moving. Treatment may include exercise, myofascial release, joint mobilizations, cranial sacral therapy, clinical pilates, acupuncture, taping, soft tissue techniques, nerve mobilizations and education. Physiotherapy for individuals undergoing or completed cancer treatment. Physiotherapy will focus  on maximizing movement, providing safe guided exercise and myofascial release for any restrictions after radiation and surgery. 
Neurological rehabilitation available for individuals with a brain tumour to work on balance, movement and exercise.

Physiotherapy may be able to help with vocal dysphonia or muscle tension dysphonia. Physiotherapy for vocal disorders may include myofascial release, exercises to strengthen weakened muscles, posture education, breathing exercises and acupuncture. Your physiotherapist will work with other health care team members such as a speech language pathologist to minimize vocal tension and maximize vocal function.
